Some online gamblers are going gaga and this time we aren’t referring to the singer, they are excited about what the release of the Apple iPad could mean for online gambling. The implications are tremendous. Right now if players want to access their games they have to rely primarily on a computer and/or play a more simplistic version on their cell phones but this could open up a whole new movement. While “instant play” is available on many pages already this would encourage casinos to make games more readily available for players minus the program installations. If software developers wanted to they could even create games specifically designed to work with touch screen technology. This means a more realistic game play. Imagine being able have a fully interactive casino everywhere you go, pushing chips across the table, shooting the dice with a twirl and a swish of the hand, picking up cards, etc. It’s rare to see a piece of technology come out that could revolutionize the industry but we are definitely looking forward to what the future could hold in this case. If things catches on anything like the iPod or the iPhone poker fans certainly look like they are set to be in for something of a treat. As always we’ll keep you posted.
