No doubt that you want to do your best to become great at the classic and elegant game of Baccarat.    Keeping in mind that Baccarat is – ultimately – a game of chance, there are still some things to consider that will make your Baccarat gambling session more enjoyable, if not more profitable!

Tip #1: Develop a Money Management Plan
Learning to manage your money when playing Baccarat – or any casino game for that matter – is probably the most important thing that you can do in the long run.  Good money management means clearly deciding how much you have to spend on your game, how much you can (honestly!) afford to lose and when you will quit.

Tip #2: Know your Game
Learn as much as you can about the game of Baccarat before you start to play.  This could involve reading up on the internet, purchasing ‘how-to’ books or watching other players.  You could also try the free game options available at most online casinos. Learn as much as you can about the various Baccarat betting systems out there and try to apply them. Whichever way you go about it, remember that knowledge is power and you can never know too much about a game.

Tip #3:  Practice Baccarat for Free
Online casinos are so keen for you to try their software that they even allow you to play their games for free.  Take full advantage of this fabulous feature and practice your Baccarat betting systems before putting down that first buck.

Tip #4: Bring the Right Size Bankroll
Experts suggest that, in order to get the most out of your Baccarat gambling session, your bankroll should be relative to the minimum betting limits of the game table.   As rule of thumb, the bankroll should be about 25-30 times the minimum betting limit.  So if your favorite Baccarat game has a $10 limit, you should bring $300 to spend (if you can afford it, of course).  Nothing is more frustrating than running out of cash when you’re on a Baccarat roll.

Tip #5: Look out for Lower Number of Decks
A typical game of Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards.  Look out for online casinos that offer Baccarat that is played with less than this.  You have a better chance of winning through a dealer’s hand if you are able to play with a lower number of decks.

Tip #6: Bet on the Right Hands
Your safest bet during Baccarat would be either on the banker’s or the dealer’s hand.  Both of these carry a very similar house edge and players could make regular – albeit smaller – winnings by betting on these hands.   Betting on a tie reduces your chances of winning.   Avoid betting on a tie (standoff) as the outcome of a game, as this happens very rarely and house odds can reach up to 14%!

Tip #7: Don’t be Turned off by the 5% Banker’s Tax
Many new gamblers are put off from betting on a banker’s hand because of the 5% ‘tax’ that goes along with winning on this hand.  Over time, you will understand that it is still worth risking a bet on the banker’s hand because of the higher chances of winning.

Tip #8: Quit While Ahead
Statistically, in the game of Baccarat, you will lose in the long run but can easily win smaller amounts in the short term.  With that in mind, gamblers should quit when ahead and save their winnings for another gambling session.

Tip #9: Don’t Fall for Scams

By now you have understood that Baccarat is a game of chance and there is obviously no foolproof method for beating its odds.  Do not believe anybody who claims that they have found the perfect strategy for winning at Baccarat.  Don’t risk throwing away your cash on fly-by-night methods - rather save your money for a great Baccarat gambling session instead!

Tip #10: Have Fun!

This is perhaps the most important tip out there.  So many gamblers lose sight of the fact that gambling is – first and foremost – a great form of entertainment.  If you are not having fun, you seriously need to ask yourself why you are playing Baccarat in the first place and whether there is anything you can do to improve your enjoyment level.
