Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Games, Simon Burridge, is making some pretty big predictions for the company for this coming year. Three of the biggest ones have a lot of potential to stir things up.
First of all he expects the company to enjoy a double digit growth in online revenues. That means more profits and money for shareholders and investors alike.
Secondly he announced that before the year is up they plan to have an additionally 100 games on their sites. This means that the site will be adding an average of over eight games a month every month of this year. This is definitely good news for those who enjoy a little variety and would be quite a feat for game designers should they be successful at it.
None of this would be possible without Burridge's third prediction. The company expects to make serious use of their new software platform, which has been nearly three years in the making. Designed in collaboration with Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS) the custom build platform is designed to allow the site to take advantage of software from a number of different providers.
The site already makes use of a number of growing online software providers such as WagerWorks, Cryptologic, Freemantle, Endemol, Dynamite Idea, VS Gaming and Ash Gaming but they would like to expand things further. They may soon be able to make use of Playtech's world renowned software since the big name provider recently acquired GTS.
Some of the new games scheduled for release at Virgin Casino include Monty's Millions; Beat the Bank and Call of Duty 4 Slots.
We look forward to seeing if Burridge can make good on his hefty predictions. With the new software on their site it certainly seems like everything is possible. While many in the casino industry may be feeling the recession, Virgin Games looks to have some pretty bright days ahead of them thanks in part to the ever expanding UK market. We'll keep our eyes peeled in any case.
