The online gambling industry has grown exponentially in the last couple of years. The Internet has opened a new gateway for gambling enthusiasts and it allows them to gamble from any corner of the world at any time as the websites are accessible twenty-four hours a day.
Millions of people from all over the world are betting on sports, playing poker, buying lottery and also enjoying all the casino games online. Online gambling sites are giving even people who have never visited a land-based casino or a bookie, a way to playing casino games and wager on racing and sports. They can do it on a regular basis via the Internet.
So, why is gambling online the best bet for all these people? There are several reasons for it. The main thing is that you can access any game or sports without leaving the comfort of your home. Although you are not given free drinks; you cannot see the facial expressions of your opponents; and you cannot always hear the constant jingle of coins in the slot machines, gambling online has its own appeal. It allows you to go from one poker room or gambling table to another while still being seated. This is a privilege that land-based casinos cannot give. You can access an online casino or online sports book using the same username and account if the website you are a member of has both the facilities.
Then there are bonuses given by the online casinos which is something land-based casinos do not offer. Practically all the online casinos offer bonuses to new members just for signing up and when the member initiates his or her first deposit, then the bonus can be a substantial amount depending on the policy of the online casino.
As mentioned earlier, the convenience of playing at your own home makes a big difference. While you are playing or wagering, you can listen to music or even drink a bottle of beer. In addition, you can put your game on hold if you want to take a much-awaited break. Basically, you can set your own pace to play any game. You do not have to rush to place your bets. You can think and then wager. All this is not possible in a traditional casino in Atlantic City or Las Vegas. In the convenience you can also add the dress code. Most land-based casinos have a dress code that guests and customers have to adhere to. However, when playing online, you can even sit at home in your birthday suit! If you are a non-smoker, then you will not be disturbed by other smokers. And if you smoke, you will not be hampered by having to step outside or find a smoking lounge to grab light up.
Since there are no distractions like free drinks or other gamblers, you can focus on beating the dealer. You can create your own atmosphere by selecting the lighting you want, the background music you want to listen to or even set a clock nearby to make sure that you stick to the time limit that you have given yourself to gamble online.
Online casinos are extremely novice-friendly. This is something you cannot expect from a traditional casino. When you are gambling online, you have access to tutorials and demo games to hone your playing skills. This way you get a feel of the rules and also understand the betting system for a particular game. There are also forums which allow you to interact with other players, paving a way for friendship and advice.
However, the biggest advantage of gambling online is the safety. Online gambling is considered to be much safer than playing at a traditional casino. Usually online casinos are registered entities and have to adhere to strict rules. They are also audited by a third party where payments are concerned. Since the online gambling community is quite vocal, online casinos have to be reliable and scam-free if they want a continuous flow of customers and players. So, scamming and cheating is a risk most of them do not take. In addition, they use secure payment gateways to ensure that a customer's personal information is safe and transactions are risk-free.
Imagine if you want to take a trip to Las Vegas or Atlantic City? You will have to spend money on transportation and accommodation. However, when gambling online, you do away with this extra expense. Instead, you end up saving and possibly winning money. Some scientific studies have also found that seniors over the age of 65 may actually benefit from gambling online. The seniors who gamble tend to have far less health issues like anxiety, depression and alcoholism compared to those who do not. Online gambling helps the seniors to stay alert and exercise their minds. The younger generation is also getting involved with gambling online. Many poker players are self made millionaires thanks to online poker rooms like Full Tilt and PokerStars.
All these advantages prove that gambling online is the best bet. If you have always wanted to visit a casino, you can now do it right from your home and enjoy the unique experience that online casinos offer. Just Visit Casinofan.com and check out the wide selection of casino gaming options available to you right now.

There are numerous casino games that you can play, but knowing the games that have the lowest house advantage can improve a person's chances of winning in those games. Basically, house advantage refers to the average profit a casino makes from a player's bet. For instance, the house advantage for roulette is 5 percent. So, when a player bets one dollar, the casino makes 5 cents from that bet.
It is known that the longer a player plays a particular casino game, the closer his losses will reach the house advantage. However, there are certain casino games that have the lowest house advantage. Here are some of the games with the lowest house edge:
- Baccarat is a simple game where a person can bet either on the player or the banker. It has one of the lowest house advantages among all card games. The house advantage for betting on a player is 1.24 percent, while for betting on the banker is 1.06 percent. A person can also bet on a tie, but here the house advantage increases dramatically to 14.44 percent. Baccarat is very popular among people who place high stake wagers.
- Blackjack is another very popular game because it is easy and simple to play. However, it requires certain amount of strategy to beat the dealer. If a player uses the best possible strategy, the house advantage can be less than 0.5 percent. However, depending on the rules that are being used for the game, a player can do away with the house advantage and turn the advantage to his or her favor.
- Video poker is a slot game that does require the player to use strategies and skills in order to win. However, the house advantage is reduced in this casino game. If a player uses the most favorable strategy to play, the house advantage is less than 0.5 percent for many video poker games.
- Pai Gow is slowly becoming popular in the US. This is primarily because it has a unique playing and betting format. Also, the house advantage is quite low. Usually the house advantage for Pai Gow is around 1.5 percent. It can be reduced still further if the player uses good strategies to play the game.
- Red Dog is quite a popular game that is played solely on online casinos. The house advantage is dependent on the number of decks that are used to play the game. The more the decks, the lower the house advantage. If eight decks are used to play Red Dog, the house advantage is around 2.75 percent.
- Craps is another casino game with a low house advantage. Bets on pass line odds have a house advantage of around 0.47 percent, while bets on do not pass odds have a house edge of 0.35 percent. You can drive down the house advantage lower for bets on odds by betting on higher multiples. For instance, 100X odds give the house an advantage of mere 0.02 percent.
The reason that house advantage is important is because the lower the house advantage for a casino game, the higher the chances of a player winning. House advantage has a way of taking away a player's money. However, if you know which games have low house advantage, you can play those games and make your money last longer. If this happens, then you have more opportunities to win.
So, players should opt for only those games with low house edge. They should make it a point to learn the best possible strategies for those games as this will further lower the house edge. It is also necessary that players should make just a few bets. The more wagers they place, the greater the chances of them being exposed to the house advantage.
While playing any casino game, it is important for a player to know when to quit. The odds are always stacked up against the player and the more he plays, the more likely it is that he will lose. So, a player should learn to quit while he is ahead. This is the only way that he can end up leaving a casino a winner.
If you are new to casino games, it is best to stick with games that have low house edge. This way you will not get disappointed and still be able to enjoy playing the games. However, make sure that you come well prepared -- learn some strategies and stick to them. Choosing the luckiest casino games is easy as long as you know which games have the lowest house advantage.

A new law proposed in the Massachusetts legislature, would bring more land based casinos to the state while criminalizing online gambling.
The intent of the bill is to get two new land based casinos licensed at $100 million worth each and four new slot machine licenses at $15 million each. However, section 36 of the 172-page bill contains loads of legal jargon, specifically declaring all forms of Internet gambling a criminal offense.
The bill contains the following wording: “Any person who knowingly transmits or receives a wager of any type by any telecommunication device, including telephone, cellular phone, internet, [or] local area network … or knowingly installs or maintains said device or equipment for the transmission or receipt of wagering information shall be punished.” The punishment is up to two years in prison and a fine up to $25,000.
The PPA recently announced that they had been working with Massachusetts legislators in an effort to remove the criminal language from the bill. However, when the bill was reintroduced on April 1, it still contained section 36.
The PPA Executive Director John Pappas is now personally getting involved, promising that he will solve the issue or at least give every effort possible to get the potentially harmful legal jargon removed from the bill.
Miss B says: Let’s hope the PPA and other organizations can convince the Massachusetts legislators that the criminalizing language must be removed from the bill. Folks living in state should also email, call, and badger their Congressmen.

After a week of heated debate, the French parliament has made a landmark decision to open up the previously state run online gambling market after it passed a bill legalizing and regulating Internet gambling Tuesday.
The bill, which was passed by a parliamentary majority of 299 votes to 223, is anticipated to take effect by the World Cup in South Africa this coming June.
"This text will allow us to progressively dry up the black market in online gambling by creating a legal offer which obeys the rules," said Budget Minister Francois Baroin.
The bill requires operators to obtain a permit from a regulator whose primary purpose is to insure that all games meet regulation standards, protect consumers from addiction, and eliminate transgressions.
It also prevents minors from playing any luck-based games and contains measures to dissemble illegal betting websites.
The state will collect a 7.5% tariff on bets relating to sports betting and horse racing and a 2% tax will be imposed on poker bets. Part of the revenue will go towards anti-addition campaigns.
Monetary policies for online gaming are also expected to coincide with those on non-virtual gambling, such as casinos and horse racing.
Miss B says: This is great news. Up until now France had a state monopoly on online gambling. This new piece of legislation calls for a more open policy towards online gambling.

On Monday the share price of Bwin stock grew tremendously thanks to the announcement that they are expanding to reach the Italian online poker market. The Austrian Betting and gambling company is wrapping up a deal to purchase Gioco Digitale, one of the most successful online poker operators in the country.
After news of the possible acquisition of Gioco Digitale, shares jumped a whopping 7 percent to 29.10 euros. Since the end of last year, the share has more than doubled. The current plans to purchase Gioco Digitale are predicted to increase their earnings by over 10%, even after calculating the cost.
Last month, Bwin stated in the quarterly report that they plan to include more of their casino, sports betting and poker services in Italy.
The current expansion and success of Bwin can be attributed to the recent laws that have been passed to permit gambling and poker as well as online poker tournaments and sports betting. The laws will be put into effect this autumn.
Bwin’s expansion into the Italian market will help immensely as Gioco is the biggest online poker brand in the country. Bwin has a market share of around 6 to 7 percent while Gioco has about 20 percent. The consolidation will definitely be profitable for Bwin and its shares will continue to rise.
