LeBron James made the major announcement of which team he will be tying his future to yesterday evening. Turns out the pro chose to join a superstar lineup rather then become another team's star player. He will join Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat creating a trio that is sure to make waves come play offs.

"I can't say it was always in my plans, because I never thought it was possible," James said on ESPN. "But the things that the Miami Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in a position this summer to have all three of us, it was hard to turn down. Those are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game today...Winning is a huge thing for me," said James.

Former Olympic teammates James, Bosh and Wade have worked together in the past to help deliver gold medals to the U.S. but this time it will be a gold trophy they're looking for as Wade fights to earn another NBA championship and James and Bosh look to win their first.

James said that he made his final decision about which team he would be joining Thursday morning and that he knows his decision won't go over well in Ohio.

"They can have mixed emotions, of course," James said, adding that Akron will "always be home for me."

The reaction in Cleveland was that of outrage. Television cameras caught images of angry fans reacting to the news including one fan burning James' jersey.

James was of course hurt by some of their reactions but in the end he said, "I wanted to do what was best for LeBron James ... At the end of the day, I feel awful. I feel even worse that I wasn't able to bring an NBA championship to that city.

"To my real fans out there, I hope that you'll continue to support me all the way to Miami."
