Shamed Internet gambling payment processor Daniel Tzvetkoff has been denied bail in a New York Court.
As you may recall, last Thursday, a Nevada court authorized the 27-year-old's release on conditions that his father Kim, put his $1.1 million home as surety and drive Daniel to New York where his trial will take place.
Also under the terms of that order, Daniel was forced to surrender his passport, wear an electronic monitoring bracelet, and follow a curfew so that authorities could track of his every move.
Well Wednesday, Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Manhattan Federal Court reversed that decision, denying Tzvetkoff bail in New York.
Prosecutors sought tougher bail conditions during Wednesday’s hearing in the Manhattan Federal Court. They argued that Tzvetkoff was a flight risk and has stashed $100 million for a getaway.
Judge Lewis Kaplan agreed with prosecutors, maintaining that there is not "sufficient to reasonably assure that the defendant will appear" at future hearings.
The once famed internet tycoon allegedly took part in a $500,000 million money laundering operation involving online poker and blackjack.
Apart from that, his pregnant fiancée has moved to New York City to stay by his side until his trail is over.
Miss B says: I guess Tzvetkoff isn’t free after all. On top of that, all the money that was put up for collateral won’t be returned to his father.
