Saturday Marks the Start of the WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship in Atlantic City

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata Poker Open Championship is about to kick off in Atlantic City. The Borgata Poker Open began its run on September 8th with the $350 + $50 Deep Stack No Limit Hold'em event but its most popular event the Championship event begins this Saturday (September 18th).
The $3,500 buy-in televised event offers an astounding $2 million in guaranteed prize money. Last year's Championship event attracted 1,018 players and its winner Olivier Busquet walked away with a hefty $925,514 for the biggest payout of his tournament career.
The six day event will kick off with two Day 1 flights this weekend and will wrap up with the televised final table on September 23rd. Players in the championship event will start with 30,000 in tournament chips.
Blinds will begin at 25-50 and levels will increase every hour and fifteen minutes. There is a 15-minute break scheduled for the end of every two levels and should play extend late into the night a dinner break will take place at a yet to be determined time.
