The online gambling affiliate community suffered a terrible loss last week when Allan Leonard, known affectionately by those in the igaming community as "The Captain," passed away at the age of fifty two. Allan who was well liked by those who knew him, endured many tragedies in the past eight years including the loss of his daughter, both of his parents and a life long friend. Earlier this year, his wife, Patty, was diagnosed with lung disease and learned that she would need a lung transplant. As she continues to fight for her life, many in the gambling community are coming forward to offer a helping hand during this most devestating of times.

Allan who was well known for his fundraising efforts for others in the community was always willing to help out any way he could and now we have the opportunity to give a little back by helping to raise funds to save the one of the people he loved most in this world- his wife.

In a forum post by the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association one of the moderators plead for the family saying, "Allan left behind his oldest daughter and wife. They must now cope with the expenses and mounting medical bills as Patty continues to fight for her life against the disease which ravages her body. That struggle has now been compounded by the extreme emotional grief of losing the love of her life. If we all made even small donations for the family, together we could make a huge difference in someone's life when they truly need it most."

We here at Casinofan are particularly saddened by the loss of the Captain and encourage others to give whatever they can to help this family torn by tragedy and sickness. Patty and Allan were a pair of shining stars in the industry and noone deserves so much grief. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who have been affected by the passing of this beloved man.

"My heart is broken into many many pieces. I feel like the lamb that is lost without "My Captain" by my side. It seems so unreal but everyday I wake up the reality hits me because I cannot find him. Dear God give me the strength to meet each day and prepare a way for his beloved daughter Melissa to continue once I pass. He is now with his dear baby daughter, Jessica and I know he is finally at peace."
