World Cup Reaches Boiling Point as Brazil and Chile Get Ready to Face Off

Brazil and Chili are set to face off today and with both teams in top form with a great chance of getting through to the quarter-finals there is little doubt that it will be the game to watch.
Brazil will be happy to have the return of Kaka after a one-match suspension but players Julio Baptista and Felipe Melo may not be able to play because of injuries. A number of players from their team (Fabiano, Juan, Melo and Ramires) will also have to be careful since they are only one match away from a suspension if they get through this round. Brazil is known for their constant offensive attack but Chile has shown a surprisingly strong defense having done a great job of limiting shots thus far at the 2010 World Cup.
If Chile can slow down the Brazilian's squad they could pull a huge upset or an outright win. Right now they have some momentum going for them but Brazil's World Cup group stage play - a 2-1 win over North Korea, a 3-1 win over the Ivory Coast, and a 0-0 tie with Portugal - has many choosing the 2002 winners to win the entire tournament.
Chilean players Marco Estrada, Waldo Ponce and Gary Medel will be unable to play because of suspensions but Matias Fernandez and Carlos Carmona will be back in play. Like Brazil they have a few players who are only one booking away from suspension (Suazo and Valdivia) so it is likely that both teams will tone down their aggressive play.
