A while back we brought you the story of a gambler whose love of Robin Hood inspired him to use his blackjack skills in Las Vegas to "take from the rich" and give to the poor. The big hearted American who chose to remain anonymous has officially passed the £1 million mark in donations given out by his site. All of his money is earned directly through blackjack and is given directly to the people he deemed in the most need.

"I have done very well from gambling over the years and wanted to give something back to people who are less fortunate," he said in a recent interview.

Asked what inspired him to start his own website RobinHood702 (as he is known online) said, "I always loved the film Robin Hood. I thought if Robin could do that all those years ago I could do something similar."

While £1 million may seem more then generous RobinHood702 doesn't appear to be slowing down. He is still asking needy families to submit their stories at http://www.robinhood702.com/
