A media advisory has been issued from Boston, MA stating that the legislature of Massachusetts will be holding a hearing on whether expanding gaming is good for the well being of the population.
The legislative hearing is scheduled to begin Thursday, October 29, 2009 by the Massachusetts Join Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies.
The committee will be looking into the impact of choosing to expand the licensing and regulation of gaming in the Commonwealth. On behalf of those in favor of making online poker licensable and regulated is the Poker Players Alliance who will be testifying in favor of its inclusion in regulated gaming.
The event is scheduled to take place in the morning at 10 o clock at the Gardner Auditorium in Boston. Executive Director of the PPA, John Pappas will be available for interview as well as the Massachusetts Director of the PPA, Randy Castonguay.
