NBA Gambling Stance Laxing

altThe NBA may be making moves to relax its antigambling stance.

According to the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corp. (OLG) and NBA spokesmen the league is undergoing talks with the OLG to include the league's games in lottery cards at over 8,000 gambling facilities.

This is good news for the OLG who were forced to remove betting on NBA games back in 1994 as part of the contract to award the Raptors to Toronto.

This step can be argued as a natural progression from the league lifting a ban against the Las Vegas' Palms Casino posting odds on NBA games back in 2008.

With so much controversy going on about players gambling on planes is the league trying to silently make it easier for non-players to get in on the action?

History has shown that open betting on games leads to a boost in popularity. We'll keep our eyes peeled for any further developments.
