 Las Vegas chapels were overrun this weekend with couples looking to tie the knot on 10/10/10. MSNBC reported that Sunday was probably the most popular wedding day since 07/07/07 with an influx of marriage ceremonies worldwide.
Las Vegas has always been known for their quick and easy wedding ceremonies so it should comes as no surprise that many couples decided to take the plunge in the entertainment capital of the world. Such humorous characters as Elvis and the Grim Reaper were fully booked on Sunday and the Las Vegas Sun reports that the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel alone preformed over 160 ceremonies throughout the day.
With so much to do in Vegas, Honeymooners had plenty of options for after ceremony entertainment. With casino games, night clubs, live shows, music, rides, and of course romantic suites Las Vegas offers something for everyone and there is no end to the excitement that can be had.
Many couples were pleased with the overall turn out. One bride and groom were quotes as saying it was, "fun" to think that "we'll have something unusual in common with a big chunk of people. We'll have a much greater probability of running into couples with the same anniversary."
With an anniversary date like 10/10/10 one thing is for sure, the husbands will have absolutely no excuse for forgetting their wedding anniversary.
