Full Tilt Poker has announced that they are in negotiations with Las Vegas-based Station Casinos. The online poker room said that it is hoping to expand the brand name recognition of both companies but did not go into specifics on the matter. Many suspect that one or more of Station Casinos' resorts could serve as the home of Full Tilt's new "Onyx Cup" series and that Full Tilt could help the casino transition to the online gambling market. Station Casinos operate several luxury resorts in Las Vegas including Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch and Palace Station.
The move follows similar agreements between other online gambling sites and major casino operators. Caesars Entertainment recently reached a deal with 888.com to promote Caesars' World Series of Poker brand to an overseas audience and last week PokerStars announced that it has reached an agreement with Wynn Resorts to work together on reforming the current US online poker laws.
While the details are still murky about Full Tilt's plans, it is likely more details will be released in the coming weeks.
