It has just been reported by the Alderney Gaming Control Commission that they have suspended the license of Full Tilt Poker. Apparently, several poker players who were involved in real money tournaments and cash games suddenly became locked out and were not even able to withdraw funds from their accounts.

Here is what the Gaming Control Commission stated:

"The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General's Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation."

There will be a hearing dated for July 26, 2011 with the AGCC to discuss the matter of Full Tilt's license but until then, Full Tilt has been forbidden to allow any new players to register, accept deposits or withdrawal requests from existing customers or permit players to participate in any form of poker game play or gambling transaction.

Since the news broke, the players that have called Full Tilt home have been full of speculation and questions about what this all means for the world's second largest online poker site.

It is unclear what will happen next but for now, players will just have to wait and pray.
