"The Hangover Part II" tore up the box office this weekend bringing in an estimated $105.8 million in its long opening weekend and now fans of the movie franchise have even more reason to celebrate. Slot machine maker International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it has made a deal with Caesars Entertainment Corp. to create a slot machine game based on the first Hangover movie. The game was debuted during the movie premiere of "The Hangover Part II" in Las Vegas, with stars from the movie that were also featured in the slots game. The progressive slots game features bonuses themed after the first movie's funniest moments, including a certain chapel wedding and another character being zapped with a stun gun, and is sure to provide slots fans with hours of entertainment.
The ‘Hangover' slot machines will be placed at 37 of Caesars Entertainment's largest casinos across the world and if it proves to be popular with gamblers even more machines could be added at a later time. It is unclear at this time whether IGT plans to one day offer a digital version of the game to online casinos but if they did it wouldn't be the first time that they have taken a popular movie and made a highly popular game out of it.
