The city will be commemorating the Year of the Rabbit with massive Chinese New Year celebrations which highlight the city's rich cultural diversity. We couldn't possibly cover the long list of event going on over the next month but here are just a few of the events you'll definitely want to check out if you are in town:
-Now through March 5th, the Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are celebrating the holiday with a beautiful and unique floral and botanical display guided by Feng Shui. The display features a 32 ft. Chinese Junk Boat, a Ming Dynasty-style gazebo, and a 12 ft. rabbit covered in a luxurious coat of live plants.
-Those who prefer a little bling will definitely want to check out Crystals at City Center. It's is celebrating the Chinese New Year in style with a golden rabbit weighing 1,200 pounds. The rabbit is more than 11-feet-tall and 12-feet-long which is impressive to say the least.
-If you are at all familiar with Hong Kong pop music you'll be happy to hear that Caesars Palace will serve as host to singing icon Jack Cheung Feb. 6th - 8th. He will perform all of his classic hits in what has become one of the most anticipated shows of the Chinese New Year.
-Of course nearly all of the restaurants and bars in the city will be offering special meals and drinks in honor of the holidays. TAO Asian Bistro at The Venetian will offer a special meal of bo bo go sing,Wing Lei at Wynn is offering a special Dim Sum buffet between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 3-8, and Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Bar at The Palazzo will offer half off all sake and sake cocktails on Feb. 3.
-The biggest event of year would of course have to be the traditional Dragon Dance which will weave its way through the city. Check with locals to see where you can catch up with the Dancers and or to find out how you can even join in.
