Merge Network, which includes popular poker rooms like RPM Poker and Carbon Poker, will be ending their rakeback program on June 1st. The network currently offers one of the highest rakeback percentages out there. (35% rakeback paid daily) But now that the FBI and the Department of Justice have eliminated most of their US-based competition, execs apparently feel like they no longer need to give up so much of their profits in order to stay competitive. According to a recent announcement, existing Rakeback players and new players who sign up for rakeback before June 1st will be grandfathered in to their agreements but those who wait will not be given any preferential treatment.
The exact details about what changes will be made is still unclear. Apparently, the news was leaked before the network had a chance to fine tune their plans and the network only commented on the matter due to pressure from their players. We will be sure to update you on how the change will affect affiliates and existing players as soon as more details are released to the public.
As always, stay tuned to Casinofan for more news and updates.
