For those of you who are not already in the know about American President Barack Obama's and British Prime Minister David Cameron's latest wagers, the two placed bets on who would win Saturday's game between England and the US. The wager was made during a phone call on Saturday just hours before the game was scheduled to kickoff.
During the conversation, Obama and Cameron placed their bets by agreeing to drink the other country's finest beer if their team wins. So if the US won, Obama would be drinking his British lager of choice and if England won, Cameron would be drinking his favorite all American beer.
During the only other World Cup match between the two teams, America proved victorious and Obama was hoping that history would repeat itself. The Americans triumphed over England 1-0 in 1950 at the World Cup in Brazil. Obama was reported to have said that if history proves correct, he'll be sipping Britain's finest lager by 5pm.
England and the US tied though 1-1 so one can only assume they both enjoyed each other's country's best brews.
