Las Vegas police offers apprehended an accused New Jersey pimp who was recently featured on the "America's Most Wanted" television show this week. Police offers said that the tourist crimes unit arrested Jason Lamar Brown at 3 a.m. while he was playing poker at the Aria. He was said to have been taken into custody without incident and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Brown is being charged with multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment. He is being accused of luring two teenage runaways to his apartment where he allegedly he held them captive, raped them, and forced them into prostitution. The girls were eventually rescued by police officers but Brown fled the state. "America's Most Wanted" said that it was very likely that he would turn up in Las Vegas and sure enough that is where one of the show's viewers spotted him. Brown will make his first court appearance on Monday.
Earlier this week, FOX announced that they would be canceling "America's Most Wanted." Over the years, the show has been credited with helping to catch more than 1,000 fugitives. It is unclear what FOX plans to replace it with.
