Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, which caused quite a stir earlier this year when it used a bar bottom in one of its billboard advertisements and fired employees who couldn't pull off the casino's skimpy new flapper costumes, is kicking up its exciting antics yet again in attempt to win over customers. The casino's new owner has announced that they will host a nightly adults-only Naked Circus in a parking lot tent starting in July. Of course the featured completely nude performers since that would go against state law but Resorts co-owner Dennis Gomes assured casino visitors that "It'll be as naked as the law allows" meaning the performers will likely be wearing nothing but pasties and G-strings.
Resorts nearly fell into bankruptcy last year and Gomes who has gained quite a reputation for his sex sells mentality says that the new show is designed to win back millions of dollars that was lost under the leadership of the casino's previous owners. Resorts posted a $5.3 million operating loss in the first quarter of this year but a lot of that has to do with the large amount of money Gomes and co-owner Morris Bailey are pumping into promotions to rebuild its customer base.
The Naked Circus show, kick off during the 4th of July holiday weekend. It will be just one of the three daily circuses the Resorts will host in Atlantic City.
As always, stay tuned to Casinofan for more news and updates.
