888.com has signed a new endorsement deal with Spanish football legend Santiago Cañizares. Cañizares who is best known for his time spent as Valencia CF and Spanish national goalkeeper, has won numerous titles including a Champions League title, a UEFA Cup, and two La Liga medals. Over the course of his career, he has played in 500 leagues matches and competed in 3 FIFA World Cup Tournaments and 4 European Cup Championships. In his spare time he takes part in rallying and commentates for the TV network, Canal+.

Cañizares will serve as an official European brand ambassador for 888.com for the next 12 months. Exact details regarding the agreement have not been released but it is likely that he will be an integral part of 888.com's 2011-2012 marketing strategy in Spain and across Europe.

Itai Pazner, Senior Vice President of 888.com, expressed his enthusiasm for the new agreement by stating, "The partnership agreement with Santiago Cañizares will bolster the 888 brand presence in Spain and beyond, and we are delighted to have a sportsman of his caliber on board. We are fully confident that our exclusive partnership agreement with Cañizares will be beneficial to our brands; 888casino, 888 poker and 888sport."
