 A new online casino has been launched which promises to combine traditional casino games with social networking. Yazino which is currently only available in play-money form offers poker, blackjack, slots and roulette in what they are calling a "uniquely fun and competitive social environment."
So far more than 200,000 players have registered with the site and that number is growing every day.
"Online gaming sites fall into one of two camps, gambling or social gaming," said Yazino chief executive officer Hussein Chahine. He points out that at the moment, "Gambling sites are perceived as dark and seedy while social gaming sites are seen as fun, friendly and engaging."
The site hopes to bridge this gap by, "connect[ing] the two and bring[ing] simplicity and friendliness to the gaming market." They believe that by combining traditional games with social networking they will also be able to set themselves apart from competition and establish a framework for future growth.
"We've approached this through the casino environment, which we believe embodies the best aspects of gaming, gathering friends around a table in a competitive and fun environment."
There hasn't been any word on when the site will begin offering Real-Money options to their players but for the time being players can sign up for a play-money account by visiting Yazino.com
