 The Bellagio won its 10th consecutive AAA Five Diamond award on Friday, becoming the first Strip resort to have ever reached the milestone and the only hotel in the US to have two AAA Five Diamond restaurants.
Every year AA A evaluates more than 60,000 hotels and restaurants in North America for their quality, cleanliness, and superior customer service. All of the locations are given a rating out of five stars and only the very upper echelon of those in the hospitality industry receive a AAA Five Diamond Award. Of the 60,000 lodgings and restaurants the group rates, less than a third of 1 percent of those have the honor of getting a Five Diamond Award. With stringent guidelines for maintaining their AAA Five Diamond Status, not many places are able to maintain that status for decades at a time. The fact that the Bellagio continues to receive the award year after year just shows that the hotel is truly a premier establishment.
"The AAA Five Diamond Award has been the most coveted symbol of excellence in the travel industry since its inception in 1977 and we are incredibly honored to be recognized for the 10th year in a row," Bellagio President Randy Morton said shortly after the announcement. "We could not have achieved this without our outstanding employees who work around the clock to provide superior service to our guests."
Not only did the Bellagio itself earn the AAA Five Diamond Award but so did its restaurants Jasmine, Michael Mina and Sensi.
