Bodog Poker Open V kicked off on Sunday with three events. The $100+$9 No Limit Hold'em Championship Series Event, the $20,000 Guaranteed Turbo Championship Series Event, and the $7,500 Guaranteed No Limit Hold'em Contender Series Event offered some great poker action this weekend.

"Whitey1207″ won the $100+$9 No Limit Hold'em Championship Series Event taking home over $13,000 and a seat in the Championship Series Main Event. Runners up included "billsg702," who earned $8,496 for coming up second and ironically named "crappy player" who came in third for more than $5,300.

"johall111″ took the fast-paced $20,000 Guaranteed Turbo Championship Series Event earning $17,039.20 and a ticket to the Main Event. "PokerAce733″ came in as the runner-up for $9,8419.20 and "The Destroyer" took third place for $6,570.20.

In the Contender Series which runs parallel to the Championship Series "KoolP456″ won $1,781.80 for coming in first at the $7,500 Guaranteed No Limit Hold'em event. "S O A Up" was the runner for $1,026.80 and "Michigander" rounded out the top three with $687.05 in winnings.

Both series will continue to run from now until October 3rd. The Championship series will culminate with the massive $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event which will earn the top player a spot in the Bodog Poker Open Hall Of Fame and an engraved Corum Romulus Chronograph valued at over $5,000, in addition to prize money.
