The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida has opened a new 10,000 sq. ft. Poker Room which will be hosting a series of special events this week leading up to Christmas. The new Poker Room will cater to high stakes players and includes a high limit area, a service bar, and a multi-station cashier stand. It will contain plenty of new Hard Rock memorabilia, several 60-inch TVs, and an outdoor smoking area for those who wish to smoke between games.
On Tuesday, (December 21st) the casino will be giving away free spinners to those who check-in to a cash game or tournament. These free spinners will only be available from 10am to midnight but considering that's when most players show up at the casino anyways it's still pretty convenient.
Wednesday (December 22nd) is the best day to check out the new poker room. They will be giving out free t-shirts to players who check-in to a cash game or tournament all day long, and they will be hosting a Christmas party featuring Cowhead from 102.5 The Bones in the Hard Rock Cafe beginning at 3 p.m. The night will wrap up with a $535 single table tournament at 9 p.m. in the Poker Room and several smaller events will be hosted throughout the day.
On Christmas Eve (Friday December 24th) the casino will host a $100,000 freeroll tournament. The event is only open to players who qualified in November but you can stand on the sidelines and cheer on your favorite player if you didn't make it.
Poker players aren't the only ones with reason to celebrate, the old 8,000 sq. ft. poker room will be turned into additional space for slots machines. A total of 364 new slots will be added including the Wizard of Oz, Wheel of Fortune, Sex and the City, and the Cougarlicious series.
