Titan.fr has been granted a sports betting license from French online gambling regulator ARJEL. The site was granted an online poker license late last year when it joined Playtech's French iPoker network and now it will be expanding its services into other gambling sectors.

The new site which is being called Paris, has yet to go live but it should be up any day now. It will offer betting on numerous European sports including the Ligue 1 Championship, the Premier League, and Wimbledon.

The arrival of the site comes during a time of fierce debate between online gambling operators and the ARJEL. Many operators feel that the steep taxes placed on sports betting sites have stunted their ability to grow as an industry and they are hoping that the French government will make some of the changes needed for future growth. Titan has plenty of experience in the sports betting market so if anyone can make a substantial profit in the current state of the French market it's them.
