 Commerce Casino has kicked off a usually structured No Limit Hold'em poker tournament. The event which attracted 529 players allows players to re-enter into the event on any one of the starting days. The new format gives players the potential to cash up to five times in the tournament and greatly increases the prize pool which is already set at a $1 Million Guarantee.
Each starting day will see the playing field reduced to 27 players and once all the starting days are complete the remaining 135 players will reconvene to play down to the winner on July 25th.
Just a few of the notable poker pros who made their way into the final 27 during Day 1a include "Miami" John Cernuto, Tony Ma and Young Phan.
Day 1b of the $355 buy-in event will take place later today and Day 1 events will continue from now until July 24th with the top 54 players receiving a portion of the daily prize pool.
