Apparently, the online sportsbook, Skybook.com was having some difficulty paying a player that was owed quite a bit of money. The online sports betting firm has been well established in the industry, but has been going through hard times lately.

They have been a trusted site until recently being known for being slow paying to some of their clients. One operator who wishes to remain anonymous reported that, “They are really having a tough time.”

Here is an email from BettorsWorld.com regarding the client in question:

“A payout request was made from Skybook on September 15th, 2009. To their credit, they were able to make a partial payment over the course of 2 ½ months. However, have been unable to make a final $4500 payment.”

Fortunately, the player in question finally received his final installment on the money he was owed for months. Here is the follow up Bettorsworld.com issued after the remaining money was paid to the SkyBook client:

“Just as we owe it to all of you to report negative situations concerning sportsbooks, we also owe it to you, and the sportsbooks, to report the positives.

We recently reported to our subscribers about a slow pay situation involving SkyBook. The payouts were requested in September and were not completed as of mid December, leaving us no other choice but to alert out subscribers.

We are happy to report that the final leg of this payout has now been completed. Paid in full.

We want nothing more than for ALL sportsbooks to be solid financially. The more good sportsbooks there are, the better it is for the players.”
