Tila Tequila has filed suit against the linebacker of the San Diego Chargers, Shawne Merriman.
He is being accused of battery and false imprisonment when a tousle broke out in his home back in September.

Tequila is seeking $1.5 million dollars according to attorney, Cyrus Nownejad. Merriman was arrested for the allegations, but the district attorney Bonnie Dumanis did not charge him. He says that he was just trying to keep Tequila from leaving his home because she appeared to be intoxicated and denied the allegations.

According to Tequila, Merriman grabbed her by her arms and when she tried to get away, he shook her like a rag doll. He then allegedly threw her onto the couch which caused injury to her neck, jaw and back, than choked her she nearly passed out alleges the suit. In the suit are photos exhibiting bruises on Tequila's arms and neck where Merriman allegedly put his hands.

Merriman communicated with the Associated Press in an e-mail that he had not yet received a copy of the lawsuit, but didn't return any of their calls on Tuesday. FOX Sports Radio spoke with Merriman, who said, "Yeah, I think we all expected it from our side at least, and it's an unfortunate thing that you gotta deal with those things as being an athlete and having a name and those kind of things, but I'm not concerned about that at all. Hopefully that my lawyers will clear everything up pretty soon and we'll keep moving forward."
