Without a doubt, this year's WCOOP is the biggest event ever. A guaranteed prize pool of $40 Million spanning a total of 45 events is beyond expectations. The World Championship of Online Poker Main event alone will be spooning out a guaranteed $10 Million in prize money!
Many eager poker players wait all year to compete in this event and with this year being the biggest, they are more excited than ever. Last year's WCOOP winner Carter "ckingusc" King has only good things to say about this year's event. "I don't think any other online tournament even compares," said King. "It's definitely the biggest online series of the year. It's like our World Series of Poker and we get pretty excited about it."
There will be many new additions to this year's Championship including Badugi and 5 card draw events. PokerStars is offering a new low buy-in "Stimulus" event, which was also seen in the WSOP. Players will get the opportunity to play to win high amounts of money for only $109. The prize pool for the "Stimulus" event alone is a guaranteed million.
On the alternate end of the spectrum, Pokerstars will host three high roller events with buy-ins starting at $10,000 for the No Limit Hold'em event, to $25,000 for the No Limit Hold'em Heads -Up event.
The World Championship of Online Poker begins today with the first event scheduled for 2:30 ET. The Championship will continue from now until September 20. The series will conclude with the $10 million main event. Don't miss out on the action and a chance to win big. Click here for the opportunity to compete!
