altMost people have a favorite type of casino game. While most of us will play a little bit of everything, for the most part we find ourselves time and again drawn to certain games on the casino floor without giving much thought as to why we are drawn to them. Whether you realize it or not your preference has a lot to do with your personality and though we are all unique in our own way there is no denying that certain people are drawn to certain games.

Slots fans for example tend to be more impulsive. For the most part they are just looking for a fun way to pass the time. While they may dream of winning the big jackpot they are often quite content to come out of it with more money than they started. Risk takers at heart, these players enjoy the experience of gambling more than anything. Since they want to play for as long as possible they see options such as penny slots as the best way to get the most bang for their buck. In the long run these players will walk away with losses but despite everything they are usually the ones to leave the casino with the biggest smiles on their face. Ever the optimists, slots fans are usually extroverts.

The polar opposite of the slots fan is the poker player. Patient, observant, and calculating, poker players are in it to turn a profit. While they may enjoy spending time with others and joking around at the table they are fiercely competitive and tend to be introverted. Poker players come in many different shapes and sizes but the best players have control over their emotions. They don't let a tense situation cause them to lose their cool but rather they are always sizing things up before they make a decision. Poker players aren't afraid to lose a little money if it means turning a profit in the long run but they can become quite disgruntled if their losses start to add up.

Blackjack players tend to be some of the most laid back players at the casino. They like to enjoy themselves but they don't want to lose too much money. Card counting players have gotten a lot of attention over the years for their keen observation skills and mental capacity but for the average player the game is just a simple easy way to pass the time. Blackjack players are rarely competitive, and they are likely to congratulate you if you're on a lucky streak, and accept any losses as a part of the game. Some of the best conversations can be had at Blackjack tables since the game requires little concentration and is social in nature.

Of all the games at the casino, Craps tends to attract the most complex of patrons. While on the surface the game may appear to be purely luck, its complex betting structure provides skilled players with some of the best odds at the casino. Craps players tend to be quite intelligent and calculating but at the same time they truly enjoying betting for betting's sake. They love the luck of the roll and the uncertainty that comes with it but at the same time they want to feel like they have some control over their destiny. Craps players tend to enjoy being the center of attention and feel an immense pride when others cheer them on but this does not always translate to their sociability off the felt. Many Craps players can be the life of the party at the table but then become almost anti-social once they've left the game.

Finally, the biggest thrill seekers of the casino world are without a doubt, roulette players. They throw caution to the wind and can lose small fortunes in less than an hour. They know that their chances aren't good but they don't really care; they are drawn like a moth to a flame and tend to be the most likely players to develop a gambling problem. These players dream big but often lack the skills or commitment to master any of the higher thinking games at the casino. Even when they do manage to win, they tend to put it all on the line or gamble it away quickly rather than walk away. Impulsive and fearless, roulette players are very rarely the kind of people you would want to split a bankroll with.

Many different factors go into your preference to play a certain game. While these descriptions will likely strike a chord with the majority of players out there, we can't expect it to be accurate for everyone. Slots players can be introverted and poker players can certainly be outgoing and social-able but there is no denying that certain types of people tend to be drawn to certain games. Perhaps this article will inspire you to take a look around the next time you're at a casino and makes some observations of your own. You may just be surprised at what you see.
