There are a few different ways to win at Bingo and each depends on which game you’re playing.
In a typical game of bingo, each player has 1 or more cards, each card having 25 squares. Each square has a number on it and as a caller calls off different numbers, the square with the matching number is marked off. Once a card has either a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line completely marked off, they win. Since that’s the easiest way to win, let’s see some of the harder ways.
- 4 Corners – Each player has to get the four corners of their card(s) marked off in order to win
- Blackout – The first to mark of their entire card wins
- X – Create an “X” pattern on the board using the 4 corners to win
- Diamond – Using the entire board, create a diamond from top to bottom and left to right
- L – Starting at the top left hand square and create an L utilizing the boarders
- Picture Frame – Mark off all of the outer squares
- Special Combination - Certain bingo games assign their own winning combinations
- Speed – Most popular, this game is played incredibly fast. The caller doesn’t wait, they just keep going.
- Combination Bingo – When two or more bingo games are being played at once
- Progressive – A winner must have the winning combination within a specific number of calls. If there is no winner, the money is carried over to the next game, creating a progressive jackpot
